Senior Rescue Chihuahua Finally Encouraged To Howl May Just Move You To Tears

Every dog or cat deserves a loving home. A place where they feel safe, appreciated, and taken care of. Sadly, though, many spend years without that security, moving through uncertain situations and surviving ordeals we could never imagine. For Kenneth, a 12-year-old rescue dog, finding his forever family changed everything, as seen in this heart-warming TikTok video where the senior Chihuahua finally uses his voice with a little encouragement.

In the clip, the caption reads, "reminding our senior rescue that he's allowed to use his voice in his forever home" as the pup's pet parent encourages him to do something he was never allowed to do before: howl. With his rescue dad in the background and the encouragement of a dog sibling, the darling Chihuahua finally realizes that things are different now and begins to unleash a hesitant yowl, before becoming more confident.

It's a touching reminder of how much animals need our help and empathy in order to enjoy life, and viewers were obviously moved by the transformation.
