Golden Retriever Puppy Hangs Onto Her Stuffie For Dear Life During An Intense Movie
Some dogs pay no attention to what's happening on TV. Other dogs, though, seem to become invested in what they watch on a flickering screen. Take, for example, Skye. In a sweet TikTok video that's been viewed more than 617,000 times, this golden retriever puppy from New York City watches a movie on television, with her eyes wide and a stuffie gripped in her mouth. "The movie really got her," is written over the top of the video.

"Poor baby, what movie has her feeling like that??" asked one viewer, to which Skye's owner responded, "Jurassic World! 🦕" One netizen joked, "She loves the cinematography and character development," and another quipped, "She thought it was even better than the book 😁💜."
One viewer shared a story about another movie-watching pup with big emotions: "My wife and I watched the live action 101 Dalmatians with Glenn Close and our red golden was enamored, but also so scared of the [Cruella de Vil] scenes😂😭. We're pretty sure she [had] her first real nightmare later that night and we felt so bad."
Dogs and their stuffed toys
One viewer of the TikTok video wrote about Skye, "She needed her comfort toy." It's not unusual for a dog — similar to a human toddler — to show a strong preference for a specific soft toy, getting obvious comfort from carrying the toy around, cuddling it, and snuggling with it at bedtime. Another netizen commented, "If [you're] a golden retriever Momma or Dad you know how adorable and beautiful this is to see your fur baby holding [their] favorite toy 🧸 ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️."
Given how often dogs (and toddlers) destroy or lose their stuffies, it's a smart idea to buy duplicates of a pooch's favorite toy. After all, you never know when a sweet dog like Skye might need the emotional support of a beloved stuffed toy in order to cope with watching a stressful movie. One netizen suggested, tongue planted firmly in cheek, "So I guess we need to put the ratings on movies for puppies too lol rated MP for might give puppy nightmares lololol."
