'This Is Her Sephora': Dog Mom Patiently Lets Her Pup Roam The Pet Store

Lots of people love browsing stores. Taking it slow, looking around, trying things on for size — it's mainly about the sheer fun of discovering something unexpected. Now imagine that feeling, but as a dog in a pet store, how would you handle yourself? Well, we found a pupper who couldn't be acting any sweeter while roaming the pet store floor, despite an aisle with delectable bones being out on display.

The Instagram video of a pup named Kora shows the cute dog taking her time walking down the aisle of a pet store, seemingly in awe of all the chew treats just within her jaws' reach. "A little retail therapy," the video is captioned, adding, "I can't rush her, this is her Sephora," as the sweet pooch seemingly picks out a rawhide chew treat.

"She's on a sniffari, finding her favorites!" one person came to the comments to quip, as another added, "She is making very important decisions." Suffice it to say, retail therapy looks a whole lot cuter with four paws and a wagging tail!

Taking your dog into a store

If Kora from Instagram has you dreaming of a shopping spree with your pup, it's worth considering the rules before grabbing the leash. While trained service dogs are allowed in businesses under federal law, pet-friendly policies for other furry friends are up to each individual store and chain but, in general, plenty of retailers are happy to welcome well-behaved animals.

Pet stores, home improvement and hardware stores, and outdoor and sporting goods stores are some spots where pups are known to tag along. Since policies can vary by location and individual store, a quick call ahead of time can save you a wasted trip. Keep in mind that grocery stores and restaurants are generally off-limits because of health regulations.

Once you're inside, keep your dog leashed, give other shoppers their space, and watch for signs that your dog isn't having a good time or is ready to go home. After all, shopping with your dog is supposed to be fun — and nobody wants to end their retail adventure with an unexpected cleanup in aisle seven.
