Fluffy Corgi Backing His Booty Up For The Camera Is The Funniest Thing You'll See Today
There's no denying that corgis are cute critters, with their huge ears, long torsos, and comically short legs. Every owner of one of these petite pooches is familiar with corgi moments that are nothing short of adorable, such as when they sploot or wiggle their bubble butts, seeming to smile the whole time. Take, for example, a fluffy corgi named Walnut. In a hilarious TikTok video that's been viewed more than 95.4 million times and racked up over 14.6 million likes, Walnut backs up toward the camera, wiggling his floofy booty like he's auditioning to be a backup dancer for Miley Cyrus or Megan Thee Stallion. At one point, he pauses to look over his shoulder before continuing his top-notch twerking.

Viewers were instantly enamored with the darling doggo and his smooth moves, asking questions such as, "Where do I sign up for lessons?" and "Does he do weddings?" One netizen observed, "This dog is catching the beat better than most of yall trying to do this dance 😭😂," and another made an epic pun, writing, "Corgi B 🔥🔥." Viewers especially enjoyed Walnut's sassy little glance back at the camera with his tongue hanging out. One person wrote, "Had to make sure we were watching," and another stated, "Checking with the tongue out is iconic!! 🤣"
A number of netizens were skeptical and stated that the video must be reversed, but a different TikTok video of Walnut shows the fetchingly fluffy corgi backing up in various settings.
Why do corgis have such short legs?
Achondroplasia, sometimes referred to as chondrodysplasia or osteochondrodysplasia, is a common type of dwarfism in dogs. The fibroblast growth factor 4 (FGF4) genetic mutation causes a dog's limbs to be short while the rest of the dog's body grows to a typical size. This genetic condition has been selectively bred into certain breeds, such as corgis, dachshunds, basset hounds, French bulldogs, and pugs. Dogs with achondroplasia are at increased risk of developing painful issues with their backs and spines, including Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), so it's vitally important that these pups get regular exercise, maintain a healthy weight, and are discouraged from jumping.
Walnut seems to have zero problems with high-energy activity, to the point that several viewers of the TikTok video expressed envy of his moves. "He be throwing it better than me," one lamented. One person suggested, "Was a dancer in a past life 🥰😍," to which another viewer responded, "He's a dancer in this current life 🥰."
