Shown off by a home-based breeder, the simple video showcases the rare long-haired dilute tortoiseshell Maine coon kitten being held up in the air to show off its beauty. Of course, part of that beauty is the kitten resembling a Wookiee a la Chewy!

Rare coat colors in Maine coon cats
Maine coon cats come in all sorts of colors, some more standard than others (like a classic brown tabby coat), with a dilute tortoiseshell look considered rare. To get that unusual coat, a la the Chewbacca-looking cat in the TikTok video, a recessive dilution gene transforms the classic tortoiseshell coloring into a softer palette of blue and cream. So, the familiar tortoiseshell mix of blended, streaky colors remains, but it appears in a muted, almost pastel combination.
Other rare coat colors for Maine coon cats include solid white, solid cream, and calico, which is similar to a tortoiseshell but includes the color white. The two solid colors are considered rare because it's very hard to find a Maine coon cat without a tabby pattern woven into its coat, along with zero trace of additional colors.
Meanwhile, the rarity of tortoiseshell and calico comes down to the fact that 99% of both those patterns are usually only found in females, due to coat color being sex-linked in cats. No matter what color a Maine coon is, though, they are always highly impressive pets due to their enormous size — like this Maine coon that's bigger than a 9-year-old child!
