Dachshund Tackling Mom's Boyfriend With Kisses Will Make Your Day 10x Better

We all know dogs — and cats, of course — can be super affectionate. However, this dachshund on Instagram takes things to a whole new level when she tackles her mom's boyfriend and lays a bunch of kisses on him! How would this make you feel? Would this kind of clingy behavior make your day? 

"My dog doesn't let me kiss my boyfriend cause that's her man," reads the on-screen text as the clip shows mom trying to make out with her boyfriend while the little long-haired dachshund named Lady is having none of it, busting in between them to make sure she is the one giving all the love (as seen by her mini kiss session with him after!)

"She literally stepped on you 😂😭," laughed on person in the comments about the dog's hysterical reaction, as another stated, "Lady really said 'You're the 3rd wheel mom' with that one 🤣🤣. Too cute 🥰." Hey, nobody puts Lady in a corner, you got that?

If your pup regularly licks your face, there's usually more going on than simply wanting to be gross. Licking is one of the ways dogs communicate, and it can be a friendly way for them to show affection or get your attention.

Dogs experience the world through their noses and mouths, so your face is a fascinating source of scents and tastes, with your skin often tasting salty from sweat that dogs want to lick or containing traces of whatever snack you just ate. There's also the puppy connection, as mother dogs lick their pups as part of grooming and early social bonding, so licking carries that comforting association into adulthood.

Add to that that when you laugh and happily pet your dog whenever those kisses begin, your pooch will quickly realize that licking is an excellent way to get a reaction. Sometimes, though, licking can be emotional, as dogs may do it when they're excited or trying to soothe themselves, and some may become extra affectionate when they sense their human is upset. No matter why your dogs does it, though, try to enjoy the moment and let your favorite furry friend plant those wet, slobbery kisses on your face for as long as you can stand it, as it's almost always a sign that your dog loves you!
