Scared Pittie And His Owner Weather Storm Together In DIY 'Thunder Room'

To many people, pit bulls are seen as the ultimate tough dog — and sometimes they really are. But when you actually own one, you realize that each dog is an individual, just like any other breed. Also like any other breed, pitties can be sensitive creatures, just like this scared pittie who needs to sit with his owner in a do-it-yourself "thunder room" in order to weather a storm.

As one half of the Bit Bros pit bulls on Instagram, this tender dog needs to sit inside a closet with his owner to feel calm and safe as a noisy storm rolls through the neighborhood. You see the pup standing at attention as his human companion sings to him among the hanging clothes, "You're so brave and well behaved and not afraid." When it comes to loud thunderstorms, pit bulls are not immune and will find solace in a closet or sometimes even seek safety in a questionable place. 

In the comments, people commiserated about the experience, saying, "That sweet angel, I went through the same with my boy" and "I always know when it storms. I get sat on by my 80lb 'son.'" We're just glad this good boy has a pet parent that truly seems to understand!

The Bit Bros are an endearing Instagram duo made up of two pit bulls, Big Bit and Little Bit, nicknamed "Biddems" and "Bittles." Their Instagram account (pitbitbros) is run by dog dad/viral content creator Nick Fox and gives followers a candid peek into their everyday adventures, from stormy-weather reactions to curious encounters with praying mantises.

While there are technically four dogs in the household, the two pitties are the main stars of the page, although people have apparently questioned why they are not always shown together, which their owner felt the need to address by explaining some of the dogs' dynamics. They are indeed together sometimes, including in one of their most-viewed clips that deals with the two scared dogs hiding together in the self-created "thunder room" during some Fourth of July fireworks.
