Take, for example, a tabby cat named Eva, aka Big Rig Diva Eva. In a funny TikTok video with overlaid text reading, "Eva strictly rejects pets but demands her nightly drag and shake across" — which has been viewed more than 663,000 times — the portly pussycat looks utterly content to be dragged along the carpet on her back and shaken occasionally.

"I wonder if the dragging decompresses her spine," mused one viewer, and another commented, "It looks like a shoulder massage to me. At one point he is pulling on the muscles at the base of her neck, like the trapezius muscles, and she looks like her brain is melting it feels so good." One netizen described the unusual evening routine as Eva's "nightly chiropractor visit," while another wrote, "I love weird cat rituals so much 😭."

Several netizens revealed the rituals that they follow for their own feline overlords, everything from spinning the cat in an office chair or dragging the cat around the house on a blanket to allowing the cat to sit under an open umbrella while drops of water are sprinkled on it from above. "My cats like being SQUISHED and have a strict routine that my wife and I get yelled at for not keeping up with lol," one person shared. Another person wrote, "You do it once as a joke and the cat says 'na, this everyday now slave!'"

That's exactly how it all began for Eva. The cat's owner explained in a comment on a different TikTok video, "One day we were playing with her and dragged her and it became a ritual of her rolling flat onto her back, waiting for drag n shake time 😂."
