Grandmas are often thought of as being the best. It's not just in grandchildren's minds, but also from pets' perspectives. Just ask these two oversized four-legged companions, one of which is a Saint Bernard patiently waiting at the very bottom of the stairs for grandma to descend and dole out some love in the form of pats.

As grandma walks down the stairs dressed in her robe, you can hear the person behind the camera in the endearing TikTok video ask, "You waiting for grandma?" It takes grandma finally reaching their level for the two sleeping dogs to perk up, with the Saint Bernard easily getting some much-deserved pats as the other dog hopefully looks on.

"This is my vision board for what I want my future to look like," one person ran to the comments to say, as another pointed out, "This whole thing is a VIBE." Indeed, new life goals unlocked!

Saint Bernards are mellow dogs

Saint Bernards may look like they could pull a sled through a snowstorm, but these massive dogs are often total couch potatoes at home. Known for their gentle and easygoing personalities, adult Saint Bernards tend to be calm and happiest when they're lounging around with their humans.

By nature, they don't need hours of intense exercise to be content, either. A daily walk and some low-key playtime usually keep them satisfied and meet their needs. Of course, getting to that mellow stage takes a little time, as Saint Bernard puppies can be full of plenty of clumsy, goofy energy. Once they reach about two years old, when most puppies calm down, they tend to settle down into the laid-back temperament the breed is known for. Even then, their enormous size means a playful jump or enthusiastic greeting can send someone tumbling, so proper training is important, which anyone with a big dog will understand.

Saint Bernards love their families and often want to be wherever their favorite people are. That affectionate nature is endearing, but it may also mean they might not enjoy being left alone and could develop signs of separation anxiety, although it all depends on the individual dog. Either way, expect endless devotion and a big personality!
