Mini Dachshund Who Lives In Paris Dresses For A Fall Walk Like He's Brad Pitt
Remember the time Brad Pitt wore a bright butter-yellow suit to the 2024 Venice Film Festival? It was quite a yellow-on-yellow moment! We couldn't stop thinking about it as we watched this mini dachshund named Stewie get dressed in an all-yellow outfit for a fall walk on YouTube. What do you think, is it giving Brad Pitt vibes?
In the video, we see Parisian pup Stewie choosing between two different colored sweaters, and in the end, he picks the yellow one, which really stands out on his little brown body. For a moment, his human mom puts on a yellow hat too, but then decides it's too small (or perhaps, too much) and whisks it away, leaving Stewie to happily romp along the nature trail in just his bright little sweater.
Said one watcher, "Stewie definitely belongs on the cover of GQ...He is simply dashing in his Fall apparel," as another noted that the mini doxie brings "sunshine wherever you go!️" Looks like Brad has got some stiff competition here!
Do dogs need to wear a sweater?
Does a dog need to wear a sweater to go out for a walk? The short answer is no. The longer answer is: some dogs and some breeds would probably appreciate a cozy sweater to help warm them up when it gets chilly outside.
Dogs that may benefit from a little extra warmth would be small, short-haired breeds like chihuahuas or dachshunds (such as Stewie or this other mini dachshund who wears fall sweaters) and senior dogs or dogs with shaved coats. Of course, it depends on the individual dog whether they'll want you to put one on, so patience and practice are key. If they're really not into it, just assume they'll be OK out in the cold for a quick potty break — just like nature intended.
Dogs that definitely don't need any extra layers include those that have thick double coats (like huskies and golden retrievers) or any kind of muscular or fluffy large breed dog, as they could easily overheat. No matter the dog, though, always keep an eye on their physical reaction to wearing a sweater and don't leave them unattended while dressed. If they're willing to let you, it will usually be OK to quickly snap a pic of your pup wearing something like an adorable Christmas sweater that gets taken off a few minutes later!
