When you leave your furry best friend in the care of someone else, it can be nerve-wracking. The best dog-sitters know to keep humans up to date on all the happenings of their canine companions, and some people truly take their responsibility to heart and give personalized puppy updates.

At least, that's what Virginia resident Meghan Specksgoor learned when she left her beloved Chance in the hands of his grandpawrent โ€” her dad, Larry who took full advantage of every happy moment together, and let Meghan know that her pup was having the best time ever.

In fact, the doting grandad actually let Chance speak for himself.

Not only was he clearly cared for, the pup was being pretty spoiled with love and treats.

It wasn't long before Chance was begging to spend more bonding time with his grandpa.

From Chance's big happy smile and his emoji-filled updates, it's obvious these two had the best time together.

Needless to say, the internet was immediately smitten with the true love between the dynamic duo, and the original tweet quickly went viral.

Some people needed emojis to more accurately express their feelings.

" omg too cute"

"This is SOO precious ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’•"

People fell in love with Larry and his clear adoration for sweet Chance.

"Your dad is the cutest"

"Your dad is the best dad ever!"

Others couldn't take their eyes off the adorable pup.

"My favorite part is that the dog gets happier with each picture"

But for many people, they couldn't choose which of these two new best friends they loved more.

"HE'S PERFECT!! what an awesome dad! Chance is very lucky grandpuppy"

"His smile! My heart! Your dad!"

There's no denying they both earned praise.

"Both are good boys 11/10"

And, though Larry and Chance's style may be unique, lots of people know a grandpawrent who shares a special bond with their child's fur baby.

"Lmaooooooo this is sooo my mom"

"Haha this is my mom."

My dad does the same thing when he watches my pupper!

And some people's parents actually prefer to speak directly to their dog instead of their child when they call.

"My Dad calls and asks to speak to his grandog. 'Hi Dad!' I say. 'Put Bugsy on the phone, I need to tell him something.'"

Of course, Larry took care of Chance for the love, not the glory. So when his story went viral, he didn't know how to respond.

"Lmao Gramps doesnโ€™t even know how famous he got in the last few days"

No matter what the future may bring for this Papa and his Doggo, there's no denying everyone who read these sweet texts is now in love with both of them.

"Give your dad a hug from all of us on twitter. Heโ€™s precious. And Chance."
