These days, it's safe to say: People are overrated. But pets? They're always sources of inspiration, love, and, well, LOLs. That's what we hope to explore in our new podcast, adorably titled Cuteness Pawdcast with hosts Allegra Ringo and Renee Colvert.
Allegra is a writer and dog lover who has contributed to Vice, Reductress, and the Hairpin among others. As for Renee, she's a dog wanter and comedian who has performed stand-up at The Improv, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store.
Renee fully admits to being animal-crazy: "Allegra and I spend a good portion of our day texting each other various pet sightings and stories, this show is sort of a condensed version of our friendship...I love it so much! There's nothing I'd rather gab about."
So, what can you expect in an episode of the Cuteness Pawdcast?
Awesomeness, that's what! We're filling up each half-hour with go-to for stories about pets, health and training tips, funny news, and interviews with celebrity pet owners. In Allegra's words: "This podcast is for pet owners, pet lovers, pets themselves... I could go on, but I won't."
In the first episode, Allegra and Renee get to the bottom of a burning question: Why do cats meow? Other hilarious topics included: yoga you can do with goats (it's a real thing), and books written to be read to dogs (also a real thing). Check it out!
