Worried Kid Emails Vet About Cat Who Drank Strawberry Milk
It's hard to be in charge. Just ask 12-year-old Maggie who was watching over the family cat named Shadow when the unthinkable happened.
The cat — wait for it — drank strawberry milk! Typical cat behavior, amirite? But for Maggie, who will surely make a great cat mom herself one day, the sneaky cat's stolen sips were the cause of much hand wringing and uncertainty.
So much so that she quickly emailed the veterinarian her concern.
"My cat, Shadow, was watching T.V. with me and drank a few sips of my strawberry milk. It had been on the table and he drank it when I wasn't looking. I am concerned how this may effect him because I do not know if he has ever drunken milk or strawberry milk," confessed Maggie.
We thought the email couldn't get any sweeter, but then this happened:
"I am also concerned because I am the only one in my family who is awake and I am only 12 and 1/2 so I don't know what to do. Please help me."
Girl, we hear you LOUD and clear! You love your cat so much, and you're worried that you messed up.
Luckily for Maggie and Shadow, nothing bad happened and as the veterinarian pointed out in a follow up email, "I wouldn't let him have sips of your strawberry milk regularly, but just this once, should be ok."
