Angelic Cats Gives Woman Strength To Endure Severe Illness

By Allegra Ringo

Clair Stone grew up with a cat she calls a "guardian angel," and that guardian angel is still with her today.

When Clair was 9-years-old, she and her family adopted Princess, then just a tiny kitten. Clair couldn't tell why, but she says something drew her to Princess. Clair's mom is sick, and Clair thinks that Princess could always sense that.

Princess acts as a therapy cat to Clair's mom, and the two are inseparable. Princess stays by Clair's mom's side to comfort her whenever she needs it.

A few years later, the family added Sally, a shy black cat with green eyes. Sally was much loved by their family, especially Clair's mom. Sally was a cat who loved being close to people — she even followed Clair when she went into the bathroom. Sadly, Sally passed away recently, but she is always on the family's mind.

Today, Clair has a new cat, Boots, who is so shy she doesn't have a photo of him (true story). And Princess is still with them. Princess keeps Clair company and still acts as a therapy cat to Clair's mom. "Sometimes I think she is my mom's guardian angel," says Clair.
